At some point in our life we have already or we will hold a grudge, most everyone has. It could be something as small as "that guy pushed me I'm never going to talk to him again" or something as terrible as somebody "hurt me or my family, I wish him and his family the worst." The bible says in Mathew 6:14-15
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses”
That is exactly what former head coach and player Monte Williams said after his wife was in a car crash and tragically died because of it. At the funeral, instead of holding a grudge against the other driver which caused the accident, Monte Williams asked forgiveness for them and told the others at the funeral to pray for them.
One final note, if God can forgive us and not hold a grudge for all our sins, then we can do the same thing.
“Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:18 KJV
